More than 400 extreme sports participants participated in two events in Hulu Selangor on 10 and 11 June

SHAH ALAM, 9 JUNE: More than 400 participants took part in two endurance running events organized by the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) in collaboration with Pinnacle Sports at Milenium Park, Kuala Kubu Bharu on 10 and 11 June.

The local authority said the organization of the Hulu Selangor Adventure Challenge (HSAC) and Hulu Selangor Ultra Trail (HSUT) aims to introduce the district as an eco-tourism area for extreme sports.

"The uniqueness of the event in Hulu Selangor is the challenging race route while participants can witness the amazing scenery and experience of Bukit Batu Pahat, Bukit Kutu and also Lata Medang which is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Malaysia," according to MPHS in a statement on Facebook. .

MPHS informed that a total of 110 individuals participated in the HSAC, an event that combines cycling, trail running and other physical challenges such as water sports with the organization this time in preparation for the 2024 A1 World Series challenge.

Meanwhile, 348 individuals participated in HSUT, a running event of 55 km (Ultra Trail), 25 km (Vertical Scort), 12 km (Double Trouble) and 5 km (Dash) that required each participant to cross the mountains of Hulu Selangor.

"People are invited to attend to enliven the program this weekend. Various interesting activities are also provided including durian eating events, face painting, sales of outdoor goods and lucky draws," he said.
